**int lxi\_discover\_if(lxi\_info\_t \*info, const char \*ifname, int timeout, lxi\_discover\_t type);**

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

The **lxi\_discover\_if()** function works exactly like **lxi\_discover()** but adds an additional parameter *ifname* which specifies the name of the network interface to broadcast on when using the *DISCOVER\_VXI11* discovery type. The *ifname* parameter is ignored for other discovery types.
