`lfs quota` **-t**|**--times** {**-u**|**-g**|**-p**} \[*MOUNT\_POINT* ...]

`lfs quota` **-a**|**--all** {**-u**|**-g**|**-p**} \[**-n**] \[**-s** *START\_QID*] \[**-e** *END\_QID*] \[**--show-root**] \[*MOUNT\_POINT* ...]

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

[**lfs quota** \[***MOUNT\_POINT* ...\]**](#lfs)

Display disk usage and limits for individual users, groups, and projects for each MOUNT\_POINT. An asterisk is displayed when the quota is exceeded. By default the statistics for the entire filesystem are displayed but individual MDTs and OSTs can be specified with the **--ost** or **--mdt** options. A user, group, or project ID can be specified. If user, group, and project are omitted, quotas for the current uid/gid/projid are shown. If no *MOUNT\_POINT* is specified, quotas for all Lustre mountpoints will be shown.

[**lfs quota** {**-U**|**-G**|**-P**} \[***MOUNT\_POINT* ...\]**](#lfs~2)

Display default quota values for users, groups, or projects. This command requires superuser permissions.

[**lfs quota -a** {**-u**|**-g**|**-p**} \[**-n**\] \[**--show-root**\] \[***MOUNT\_POINT* ...\]**](#lfs~3)

Display disk usage and limits for all users, groups, or projects that exist across all mounted filesystems. **-n** display the numeric value of the quota IDs instead of its name **--start-qid** and **--end-qid** display the value of the quota IDs only in the select range. **--show-root** display root quota entry.

[**lfs quota -t** {**-u**|**-g**|**-p**} \[***MOUNT\_POINT* ...\]**](#lfs~4)

Display grace times for users, groups, or projects. Time values use the "XX**w**XX**d**XX**h**XX**m**XX**s**" format, which specifies weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds.

# [OPTIONS](#OPTIONS)

[**--blocks**, **--busage**, **--space**, **--kbytes**](#blocks)

Print only the **kbytes**/**usage** column representing the block space usage. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--block-softlimit**, **--bsoftlimit**](#block-softlimit)

Print only the **bquota** column representing the block soft-limit. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--block-hardlimit**, **--bhardlimit**](#block-hardlimit)

Print only the **blimit** column representing the block hard-limit. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--blocks-grace**, **--bgrace**, **--btime**](#blocks-grace)

Print only the **bgrace** column representing the block grace time. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**-d**, **--delimiter**=***DELIMITER***](#d)

Use the string *DELIMITER* as the column delimiter. This allows for easier parsing of the output, and could be used to put the output into CVS format for a spreadsheet.

[**--filesystem**, **--mount-point**](#filesystem)

Print only the **filesystem** column representing either the mount point or device name. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**-h**, **--human-readable**](#h)

This will change the formatting of block storage and time values. Without this option block storage values are in kilobytes and times are in seconds. With this option block storage values use the common metric binary suffixes **K**, **M**, **G**, **T**, **P**, and **E** which specify units of 2^10, 2^20, 2^30, 2^40, 2^50 and 2^60 bytes, respectively.

[**--inodes**, **--iusage**, **--files**](#inodes)

Print only the **files** column representing the number of inodes used. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--inode-softlimit**, **--isoftlimit**](#inode-softlimit)

Print only the **iquota** column representing the inode soft-limit. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--inode-hardlimit**, **--ihardlimit**](#inode-hardlimit)

Print only the **ilimit** column representing the inode hard-limit. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**--ilocks-grace**, **--igrace**, **--itime**](#ilocks-grace)

Print only the **igrace** column representing the inode grace time. If other column options are specified, all specified columns will be printed.

[**-q**, **--quiet**](#q)

Do not display the table or column headers, all other information will be printed.

## [SINGLE QUOTA](#SINGLE_QUOTA)

The following options are only available when none of **-a**, **-t**, **-U**, **-G**, and **-P** are specified.

[**-g**, **--group** {***GROUP*|*GID*}**](#g)

Display quota information for group name *GROUP* or numeric *GID*. Can be used without specifying the mount point to get quota information from all filesystems for the specified *GROUP*|*GID*.

[**-m**, **--mdt** ***MDT\_IDX***](#m)

Display quota information for MDT *MDT\_IDX*.

[**-o**, **--ost** ***OST\_IDX***](#o)

Display quota information for OST *OST\_IDX*.

[**--pool POOL\_NAME**](#pool)

Display quota information for OST pool *POOL\_NAME*.

[**-p**, **--projid** {**PROJECT*|*PROJID*}***](#p)

Display quota information for project *PROJID*|*PROJNAME*. A username or group name can be used in place of *PROJNAME* by specifying **u:USERNAME** or **user:USERNAME** or **g:GROUPNAME** or **group:GROUPNAME** respectively, though this name will not be shown in place of the numeric ID. This can be used without specifying the mount point to get quota information from all filesystems for the specified *PROJID*.

[**-u**, **--user** {***USER*|*UID*}**](#u)

Display quota information for user name *USER* or numeric *UID*. Can be used without specifying the mount point to get quota information from all filesystems for the specified *USER*|*UID*.

[**-v**, **--verbose**](#v)

Display per-MDT and per-OST statistics in addition to the usual system wide data. An asterisk near the OST or MDT means that the quota is exceeded only for that specific target. The user is over the quota only if an asterisk is near the whole filesystem usage. Inactive target will also be printed but marked as "inact".

## [ALL QUOTA](#ALL_QUOTA)

These options are only available when **-a**|**--all** is specified.

[**-e**, **--end-qidEND\_QID**](#e)

Specify the end of a range for qids to be shown. If *START\_QID* is not specified then the range will go from 0 to *END\_QID.*

[**-s**, **--start-qid** ***START\_QID***](#s)

Specify the start of a range for qids to be shown. If *END\_QID* is not specified then the range will go from *START\_QID* until the qid with the highest value is printed.

[**--show-root**](#show-root)

Display root quota entry. By default, it is skipped.

## [DEFAULT QUOTA](#DEFAULT_QUOTA)

[**-G**, **--default-grp**](#G)

Display default group quota limit.

[**-P**, **--default-prj**](#P)

Display default project quota limit.

[**-U**, **--default-usr**](#U)

Display default user quota limit.

[**--pool POOL\_NAME**](#pool~2)

Display default quota information for OST pool *POOL\_NAME*.
