llapi\_layout\_file\_comp\_del - delete the specified layout component from an existing file.

                               uint32_t id, uint32_t flags);
```

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

Deletes the layout component(s) specified by *id* or *flags* from an existing file. The *id* must be a real unique component ID, when *flags* is specified, *id* must be set to zero. Available *flags* are:

**LCME\_FL\_INIT:** Instantiated components in the layout.

**LCME\_FL\_NEG|LCME\_FL\_INIT:** Uninstantiated components in the layout.

Returns 0 on success, or -1 if an error occurred (in which case, errno is set appropriately).

An invalid argument was specified.

*path* doesn't exist or the specified component isn't found in file.
