NAME

lfs-pcc-pin,lfs-pcc-unpin - set or clear pcc pin flag on Lustre file

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION

Set/Clear flag on a lustre file so that it cannot or can be removed from local cache storage by lpcc_purge.

OPTIONS

-i, --id

The ARCHIVE ID to be pinned or un-pinned. If ID is not specified, use the first archive attached to the mounted filesystem by default.

EXAMPLES

Set PCC pin flag on file /mnt/lustre/file for archive ID 2 so that once copied to local cache, it will not be removed automatically by lpcc_purge:

$ lfs pcc pin -i 2 /mnt/lustre/file

Clear PCC pin flag on file /mnt/lustre/file for archived ID 2 so that if it is in local cache storage, it can be removed automatically by lpcc_purge:

$ lfs pcc unpin -i 2 /mnt/lustre/file

AVAILABILITY

The lfs pcc pin command is part of the lustre(7) filesystem package since release 2.17.0.
