NAME
lfs-pool - commands used to manage OST pools and pool pinning via lustre.pin
SYNOPSIS
lfs pool [list|pin|unpin|pin_info] [options] [arguments]
DESCRIPTION
The lfs pool subcommands list OST pools, and manipulate the lustre.pin extended attribute of Lustre files and directories in order to record whether they are pinned to a particular OST pool. Pool pins are stored as YAML entries of the form pool: POOL inside the lustre.pin attribute, alongside any other keys that may be present.
The following subcommands are available:
- lfs pool list FSNAME[.POOLNAME] | PATHNAME
- List the pools on FSNAME, or the OSTs in FSNAME.POOLNAME, or the pool associated with PATHNAME. This subcommand is also available as the top-level lfs pool_list command, kept for backward compatibility.
- lfs pool pin
- Ensure that a pool entry for the specified POOL exists in the lustre.pin attribute of each target. See lfs-pool-pin(1) for full details.
- lfs pool unpin
- Remove the pool entry for POOL from the lustre.pin attribute of each target. See lfs-pool-unpin(1) for full details.
- lfs pool pin_info
- Report whether the lustre.pin attribute of each target contains a pool entry for the requested POOL. See lfs-pool-pin_info(1) for full details.
AVAILABILITY
The lfs pool pin, unpin and pin_info subcommands are part of the lustre(7) filesystem package since release 2.18.0.
