.SH DESCRIPTION
The
.B lfs pool
subcommands list OST pools, and manipulate the
.B lustre.pin
extended attribute of Lustre files and directories in order to record whether they are
pinned to a particular OST pool.  Pool pins are stored as YAML entries of the form
.B pool:
.IR POOL
inside the
.B lustre.pin
attribute, alongside any other keys that may be present.

The following subcommands are available:

.B lfs pool list \fR\fIFSNAME\fR[.\fIPOOLNAME\fR] | \fIPATHNAME\fR
List the pools on
.IR FSNAME ,
or the OSTs in
.IR FSNAME . POOLNAME ,
or the pool associated with
.IR PATHNAME .
This subcommand is also available as the top-level
.B lfs pool_list
command, kept for backward compatibility.

.B lfs pool pin
Ensure that a
.B pool
entry for the specified
.IR POOL
exists in the
.B lustre.pin
attribute of each target.
