NAME
lfs-getdirstripe - list the layout pattern of a given directory
SYNOPSIS
lfs getdirstripe |
[-cDhHimOrRTvXy]... DIR... |
DESCRIPTION
Get the layout pattern of striped directories. This lfs(1) command is similar to lfs getstripe, but is used for the directory layout.
OPTIONS
- -c, -T, --mdt-count
- Only show the number of MDTs the directory is striped across.
- -D, --default
- Show the default layout used when creating new subdirectories.
- -F, --fid
- Show only the 128-bit unique Lustre File Identifier (FID).
- -h, --help
- Print usage message.
- -H, --mdt-hash
- Only show the hash function being used for this directory. Also shows hash flags, such as overstriping (>1 stripe per MDT).
- --hex-idx
- Print MDT indexes in hexadecimal rather than decimal.
- -i, -m, --mdt-index
- Only show the master MDT index of the directory.
- -O, --obd=FSNAME-MDTnnnn_UUID
- Limit the returned directories to those with objects on a specific MDT, whose UUID is FSNAME-MDTnnnn_UUID.
- -r, --recursive
- The default behavior when a directory is specified is to list the striping information for all sub-directories within the specified directory. This can be expanded with --recursive, which will recurse into all subdirectories.
- -R, --raw
- Print MDT index in raw format without converting to a name.
- -v, --verbose
- Print verbose information about the directory striping.
- -X, --max-inherit
- Show the inherit depth of default layout.
- -y, --yaml
- Show the layout in YAML format for easier parsing.
- --max-inherit-rr
- Show the inherit depth of default layout to roundrobin mkdir.
EXAMPLES
List the striping information of sub-directories, that are located on MDT1, under /mnt/lustre/dir1:
# lfs getdirstripe -O lustre-MDT0001_UUID -r /mnt/lustre/dir1
AVAILABILITY
lfs getdirstripe is part of the lustre(7) filesystem package since release 2.4.0
