lfs-getdirstripe - list the layout pattern of a given directory

lfs getdirstripe [-cDhHimOrRTvXy]... DIR...

Get the layout pattern of striped directories. This lfs(1) command is similar to lfs getstripe, but is used for the directory layout.

Only show the number of MDTs the directory is striped across.
Show the default layout used when creating new subdirectories.
Show only the 128-bit unique Lustre File Identifier (FID).
Print usage message.
Only show the hash function being used for this directory. Also shows hash flags, such as overstriping (>1 stripe per MDT).
Print MDT indexes in hexadecimal rather than decimal.
Only show the master MDT index of the directory.
Limit the returned directories to those with objects on a specific MDT, whose UUID is FSNAME-MDTnnnn_UUID.
The default behavior when a directory is specified is to list the striping information for all sub-directories within the specified directory. This can be expanded with --recursive, which will recurse into all subdirectories.
Print MDT index in raw format without converting to a name.
Print verbose information about the directory striping.
Show the inherit depth of default layout.
Show the layout in YAML format for easier parsing.
Show the inherit depth of default layout to roundrobin mkdir.

List the striping information of sub-directories, that are located on MDT1, under /mnt/lustre/dir1:

# lfs getdirstripe -O lustre-MDT0001_UUID -r /mnt/lustre/dir1

lfs getdirstripe is part of the lustre(7) filesystem package since release 2.4.0
