gnutls\_dh\_get\_pubkey - API function

# [SYNOPSIS](#SYNOPSIS)

**#include <gnutls/gnutls.h>**

**int gnutls\_dh\_get\_pubkey(gnutls\_session\_t session, gnutls\_datum\_t * raw\_key);**

# [ARGUMENTS](#ARGUMENTS)

[gnutls\_session\_t session](#gnutls_session_t)

is a gnutls session

[gnutls\_datum\_t * raw\_key](#gnutls_datum_t)

will hold the public key.

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will return the peer's public key used in the last Diffie-Hellman key exchange. This function should be used for both anonymous and ephemeral Diffie-Hellman. The output parameters must be freed with **gnutls\_free()**.

Note, that public key is exported as non-negative integer and may include a leading zero byte.

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise an error code is returned.
