**int gnutls\_dh\_params\_export\_raw(gnutls\_dh\_params\_t params, gnutls\_datum\_t * prime, gnutls\_datum\_t * generator, unsigned int * bits);**

# [ARGUMENTS](#ARGUMENTS)

[gnutls\_dh\_params\_t params](#gnutls_dh_params_t)

Holds the DH parameters

[gnutls\_datum\_t * prime](#gnutls_datum_t)

will hold the new prime

[gnutls\_datum\_t * generator](#gnutls_datum_t~2)

will hold the new generator

[unsigned int * bits](#unsigned)

if non null will hold the secret key's number of bits

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will export the pair of prime and generator for use in the Diffie-Hellman key exchange. The new parameters will be allocated using **gnutls\_malloc()** and will be stored in the appropriate datum.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error code is returned.
