**int gnutls\_hex\_decode2(const gnutls\_datum\_t * hex\_data, gnutls\_datum\_t * result);**

# [ARGUMENTS](#ARGUMENTS)

[const gnutls\_datum\_t * hex\_data](#const)

contain the encoded data

[gnutls\_datum\_t * result](#gnutls_datum_t)

the result in an allocated string

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will decode the given encoded data, using the hex encoding used by PSK password files.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

**GNUTLS\_E\_PARSING\_ERROR** on invalid hex data, or 0 on success.
