The public key

[const gnutls\_datum\_t * data](#const)

The public key data to be imported

[gnutls\_x509\_crt\_fmt\_t format](#gnutls_x509_crt_fmt_t)

The format of the public key

[unsigned int flags](#unsigned)

should be zero

This function will import the given public key to the abstract **gnutls\_pubkey\_t** type.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error value.
