**int gnutls\_srp\_set\_client\_credentials(gnutls\_srp\_client\_credentials\_t res, const char * username, const char * password);**

[gnutls\_srp\_client\_credentials\_t res](#gnutls_srp_client_credentials_t)

is a **gnutls\_srp\_client\_credentials\_t** type.

[const char * username](#const)

is the user's userid

[const char * password](#const~2)

is the user's password

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function sets the username and password, in a **gnutls\_srp\_client\_credentials\_t** type. Those will be used in SRP authentication. *username* should be an ASCII string or UTF-8 string. In case of a UTF-8 string it is recommended to be following the PRECIS framework for usernames (rfc8265). The password can be in ASCII format, or normalized using **gnutls\_utf8\_password\_normalize()**.

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, or an error code.
