**int gnutls\_pkcs11\_privkey\_generate(const char * url, gnutls\_pk\_algorithm\_t pk, unsigned int bits, const char * label, unsigned int flags);**

a token URL

[gnutls\_pk\_algorithm\_t pk](#gnutls_pk_algorithm_t)

the public key algorithm

[unsigned int bits](#unsigned)

the security bits

[const char * label](#const~2)

a label

[unsigned int flags](#unsigned~2)

should be zero

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will generate a private key in the specified by the *url* token. The private key will be generate within the token and will not be exportable.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error value.
