**int gnutls\_pkcs12\_export(gnutls\_pkcs12\_t pkcs12, gnutls\_x509\_crt\_fmt\_t format, void * output\_data, size\_t * output\_data\_size);**

# [ARGUMENTS](#ARGUMENTS)

[gnutls\_pkcs12\_t pkcs12](#gnutls_pkcs12_t)

A pkcs12 type

[gnutls\_x509\_crt\_fmt\_t format](#gnutls_x509_crt_fmt_t)

the format of output params. One of PEM or DER.

[void * output\_data](#void)

will contain a structure PEM or DER encoded

[size\_t * output\_data\_size](#size_t)

holds the size of output\_data (and will be replaced by the actual size of parameters)

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will export the pkcs12 structure to DER or PEM format.

If the buffer provided is not long enough to hold the output, then \*output\_data\_size will be updated and GNUTLS\_E\_SHORT\_MEMORY\_BUFFER will be returned.

If the structure is PEM encoded, it will have a header of "BEGIN PKCS12".

In case of failure a negative error code will be returned, and 0 on success.
