**int gnutls\_srp\_verifier(const char * username, const char * password, const gnutls\_datum\_t * salt, const gnutls\_datum\_t * generator, const gnutls\_datum\_t * prime, gnutls\_datum\_t * res);**

[const char * username](#const)

is the user's name

[const char * password](#const~2)

is the user's password

[const gnutls\_datum\_t * salt](#const~3)

should be some randomly generated bytes

[const gnutls\_datum\_t * generator](#const~4)

is the generator of the group

[const gnutls\_datum\_t * prime](#const~5)

is the group's prime

[gnutls\_datum\_t * res](#gnutls_datum_t)

where the verifier will be stored.

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will create an SRP verifier, as specified in RFC2945. The *prime* and *generator* should be one of the static parameters defined in gnutls/gnutls.h or may be generated.

The verifier will be allocated with @**gnutls\_malloc()** and will be stored in  
*res* using binary format.

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, or an error code.
