**int gnutls\_x509\_aki\_get\_cert\_issuer(gnutls\_x509\_aki\_t aki, unsigned int seq, unsigned int * san\_type, gnutls\_datum\_t * san, gnutls\_datum\_t * othername\_oid, gnutls\_datum\_t * serial);**

[gnutls\_x509\_aki\_t aki](#gnutls_x509_aki_t)

The authority key ID

[unsigned int seq](#unsigned)

The index of the name to get

[unsigned int * san\_type](#unsigned~2)

Will hold the type of the name (of **gnutls\_subject\_alt\_names\_t**)

[gnutls\_datum\_t * san](#gnutls_datum_t)

The alternative name data

[gnutls\_datum\_t * othername\_oid](#gnutls_datum_t~2)

The object identifier if *san\_type* is **GNUTLS\_SAN\_OTHERNAME**

[gnutls\_datum\_t * serial](#gnutls_datum_t~3)

The authorityCertSerialNumber number

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will return a specific authorityCertIssuer name as stored in the *aki* type, as well as the authorityCertSerialNumber. All the returned values should be treated as constant, and may be set to **NULL** when are not required.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, **GNUTLS\_E\_REQUESTED\_DATA\_NOT\_AVAILABLE** if the index is out of bounds, otherwise a negative error value.
