**int gnutls\_x509\_crt\_set\_pubkey(gnutls\_x509\_crt\_t crt, gnutls\_pubkey\_t key);**

# [ARGUMENTS](#ARGUMENTS)

[gnutls\_x509\_crt\_t crt](#gnutls_x509_crt_t)

should contain a **gnutls\_x509\_crt\_t** type

[gnutls\_pubkey\_t key](#gnutls_pubkey_t)

holds a public key

# [DESCRIPTION](#DESCRIPTION)

This function will set the public parameters from the given public key to the certificate. The *key* can be deallocated after that.

# [RETURNS](#RETURNS)

On success, **GNUTLS\_E\_SUCCESS** (0) is returned, otherwise a negative error value.
