`neqn` \[*eqn-argument* ...]

*neqn* invokes the [*eqn*(1)](/man/os/groff/eqn.1) command with the **ascii** output device.

GNU *eqn* does not support low-resolution, typewriter-like devices, although it may work adequately for very simple input.
