NAME
nvme-io-mgmt-send - I/O Management Send command
SYNOPSIS
nvme [<global-options>] io-mgmt send <device>
[--namespace-id=<NUM> | -n <NUM>]
[--mos=<NUM> | -s <NUM>]
[--mo=<NUM> | -m <NUM>]
[--data=<FILE> | -d <FILE>]
[--data-len=<NUM> | -l <NUM>]
DESCRIPTION
For the NVMe device given, issues the I/O Management Send command with the requested management operation (mo) and management operation specific parameter (mos). This is the generic interface provided for forward compatibility as new operations are added that this program isn’t aware of at the time of its development. As such, this is a generic command that does not provide any convenience parameters to produce the binary payload.
The bare nvme io-mgmt-send form (without a space) still works as a deprecated alias and will be removed in a future major version. New scripts should use nvme io-mgmt send instead.
OPTIONS
-n <NUM>, --namespace-id=<NUM>
-d <FILE>, --data=<FILE>
-l <NUM>, --data-len=<NUM>
-m <NUM>, --mo <NUM>
-s <NUM>, --mos=<NUM>
GLOBAL OPTIONS
The following options are defined at the top-level nvme command and are available to this subcommand:
--dry-run
--no-ioctl-probing
--no-retries
-o <fmt>, --output-format=<fmt>

--timeout=<ms>

These options can also be set as machine-wide defaults in nvme-cli.conf(5). A command-line flag always overrides the file.
